Los Arcos
Weather you are novice diver or certified snorkel
or siteseer. Los Arcos has much to offer. Plankton reach water
provides food for a great variety of sea life. Huge granite
formations, carved for thousands of years by pacific currents,
has formed caves and archways through this under water National
Park. Deep of 20 to 60 feet lead you from the main Arch to
Devils Canyon. The Canyon wall drops over 1800 feet and marks
the beginning of the Continental Platform. Only 25 minutes
from Marina Vallarta, Los Arcos is a great way to spend part
of your day on the water.

Majahuitas
Majahuitas is located on the south side of Banderas
Bay, 35 minutes from Marina Vallarta because there is no road
access, Majahuitas remains quiet and peaceful. Here the water
is calm and clear, great for snorkel and diving. King Angel
fish thrive here as well as garden eels and blank coral.
The beach at Majahuitas is a great place to
relax between dives, have some lunch or just kick back and
enjoy the sun.

Marietas Island
The islands are located 22 miles from Marina
Vallarta on the north side of the Bay. Pacific currents bring food
to many species of small fish that live here. Diver can explore the
many caves and lava tubes here. The islands are a protect bird
sanctuary and home to thousands of sea birds including the Blue
Footed Boobie. The 50 minutes ride to the Marietas Islands give you
a chance to observe the bays larger marine in habitants, dolphins,
giant Pacific mantia rays, turtles and humpback whales during the
months of December to March.

Chimo
Chimo is a small fishing village near the south
point of Banderas Bay. The waters around Chimo are teeming with
life, damsels, moorish idols, turtles and soft corals of every
color. Even the sea bottom is unique. Torrecilas is a plateau
spanning nearly a quarter of a mile diameter with pinnacles
stretching upwards from its base. In the winter months Chimo is home
to a large number of mantia rays. Divers get a first hand look at
these gentle giants, definitely a photo opportunity!

Corbateña
Corbateña is located 40 miles from Marina Vallarta,
well outside the bay. Because of the location, Corbateña is home to
the largest variety of marine life. Whales, dolphins, turtles, sail
fish, marlin, tuna, whale-shark and even hammer head sharks have
been seen here. Morray eels and soft corals cover Corbateñas rocky
terrain. This dive is reserved for experienced certified divers
only. |
